In an effort to help take the stress 🤯 out of the Science Fair, we are offering two sessions to help support our sixth grade students, and any participating 5th graders. 🎄Festive fun and sweet creations! Barbara Carlson's Christmas Treats class was a delicious success as students assembled, decorated, and shared holiday goodies. Smiles, teamwork, and tasty treats filled the room! 🍭🍬

🧁What can we say about Dawn Doyle? For over 25 wonderful years, Dawn has filled our Community Ed program with the laughter of delighted children, the sweetness of sticky fingers, and the joy of candy-covered creations. With her guidance, hundreds of gingerbread houses, spring-themed cookies, cupcakes, and Valentine’s treats have been lovingly decorated, creating cherished memories for countless kids and their families. 🍬🍭 As Dawn hangs up her Community Ed Apron for the final time, the Blue Earth Area Community Education team extends our heartfelt thanks to Dawn for her incredible dedication and enthusiasm. Her classes have brought so much happiness, and her preparation and care behind the scenes never went unnoticed. Dawn, you’ve made a lasting impact on our community, and we will deeply miss including your classes in our seasonal offerings. Thank you for everything—you’ve been a true gift to us all!

Holiday Centerpiece (Parent/Child Class) 🎄Create a lovely Christmas centerpiece with a candle ring and a votive candle using winter greens & embellishments like pinecones, berries, & sparkling things. Holiday/Winter Wreath (Adult/Teen) 🎄Create a wreath with faux winter or holiday greenery or a wreath on a gold or silver metal ring. Embellishments like berries, birds, pinecones will be available to complete your design. A perfect piece for your front door or in any room of your home. ☕Holiday Coffee Flight (Flavored coffees) (Adult/Teen) A coffee flight is a multi-beverage experience, made up of smaller portions of different coffees, giving you the enjoyment of sampling multiple drinks. Varenyky (Adult) Sometimes called the National Ukrainian Dish, these Eastern European dumplings are made with a variety of fillings. We will use a recipe brought to Minnesota with Barbara's German/Russian family in 1912 and filled with a cottage cheese filling and a creamy ham gravy. Instructor: Barbara Carlson. Ms. Carlson’s Thanksgiving Treats class was a blast this week! The students whipped up a bunch of tasty, autumn-themed snacks to feast on and to take home. So much fun—and delectable too!

Bierocks/Runzas (Adult) German/Russian immigrants brought these savory meal pockets to the US. Made with beef, cabbage, and onion, they are baked in bread pockets, freeze well, and are very tasty!
