Hard work deserves a little fun! 💪📚

As a reward for giving their best effort on MCA testing, BEA 4th graders got to pick a temporary tattoo and “tattoo” their teacher! 😄 Some teachers ended up with face tattoos, while others played it safe with more traditional tattoo spots. There were lots of laughs, creative choices, and smiling faces all around! We are so proud of the hard work, focus, and perseverance our students showed during testing! 👏

Community Information Meeting
Just because the school year is almost over doesn't mean the learning stops at Blue Earth Area School District! Yesterday, our 3rd graders teamed up with the Minnesota Department of Transportation for the exciting “Bridge in a Bag” activity, where students designed and built their own truss bridges using lightweight materials.

Students put their STEM skills to the test while learning about engineering, teamwork, problem-solving, and how real bridges are designed to support weight in our communities. Best of all, they got to experience hands-on learning and make real-world connections right in the classroom! Who knows...… we may have some future engineers in 3rd grade! 🌉🔧

🤩🎉Congratulations to Mrs. Ristau and Mrs. Brower, winners of the last K-7 Buc Pride Awards for the year! Both were nominated by multiple colleagues for their efforts and leadership.
Here are a few of the comments below to highlight them.

Sharon Ristau:
⭐️I would like to nominate Sharon Ristau for a staff award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to our elementary team. Sharon works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our school runs smoothly each and every day. Her dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic do not go unnoticed.
⭐️I feel that Sharon consistently goes above and beyond to support both ALL staff and students. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter how big or small the task may be. Whether it’s assisting with daily operations, problem-solving unexpected challenges, or supporting staff needs, Sharon approaches everything with a positive attitude and willingness to get things done and done right!
⭐️Sharon’s kindness, professionalism, and willingness to work with others make her an invaluable member of our school community. She truly embodies the spirit of teamwork and dedication that this award represents. I am grateful for all that she does and believe she is incredibly deserving of this recognition.

Hannah Brower:
⭐️She is outgoing, kind to her students, and funny!
⭐️She is incredibly nice, energetic, and outgoing, with a positive attitude that brightens any room she walks into. She is naturally funny and fun to be around, but what truly sets her apart is how deeply she cares about the people around her. She brings a fantastic spark of joy and kindness to our school community every single day.

Congrats to both of our very deserving winners!

Teachers don’t just teach—they notice, encourage, adjust, and show up day after day in ways that often go unseen. The steady patience, the small moments of connection, the belief in every student—it all adds up to much more than the lesson plan for that day.

During Teacher Appreciation Week at Blue Earth Area Schools, we’re grateful for the impact you make not just in lessons, but in lives. 💛

Today we recognize our school principals for the many roles they take on each day—problem-solver, listener, organizer, decision-maker, and steady presence in the building. It’s not always an easy job, but it’s an important one. Thank you for the time, energy, and care you put into supporting our students, staff, and school community.

The excitement didn’t stop in the stands—Mrs. Maloney and Mrs. Sukalski were selected to play a “Memory Match” game right on the field before the game. Mrs. Maloney came out on top, but both walked away winners with new t-shirts and a photo op with T.C. Bear! ⚾
