Blue Earth Area would like to welcome Ellie Tonder as she completes her student teaching experience with Hannah Brower in the English Language Arts department at the middle school. Ms. Tonder is a graduate of Fairmont High School and is currently in her last semester at Iowa State University. 

Ellie’s family lives in Fairmont and some of you may remember her mother- Wendy Tonder- who taught FACS at Blue Earth Area a few years ago. Her favorite book is The Great Gatsby and she enjoys many outdoor activities such as kayaking, playing tennis, and walking her dog, a Giant Schnauzer named Cooper. 

Ms. Tonder is eager to student teach at Blue Earth Area and to get to know the staff and students. Her favorite quote is by Walt Disney-- “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” We are so grateful that Ms. Tonder is pursuing her dream to become an educator!
