As we approach the Holiday season, give the gift that keeps on giving: clean hands!
The best way to prevent illness is to perform consistent and effective hand hygiene. This will involve either 1) hand sanitizer or 2) soap + water + 20 seconds of scrubbing.
At BEA Schools, we encourage consistent hand hygiene. Please reinforce this at home by encouraging your child(ren) to wash hands at the following times: before eating, after using the restroom, after coming in from being outside, before touching eyes/contact lenses, after blowing his/her nose, after changing a diaper.
Any time we wonder, “should I wash my hands?” the answer is, “YES!”
This holiday season, please remind your kids (and friends, and loved-ones, and random strangers on the street): The most important thing we can do to prevent the spread of germs of all kinds is to keep our hands clean. Keeping our hands away from our faces and covering coughs rank right up there too, as well as staying home when sick.
Happy hand washing & Happy Holidays!
