Family Fun Night

It’s a tale as old as time. Maroon and Gold take on Red and White. Bucs take home The Jug! Blue Earth Area vs. Fairmont Area. Bucs vs. Cards. It’s what good, old-fashioned high school rivalries are made of! And, this year, we thought we’d try to make it an extra special event for our students and families to enjoy!

On October 20th, the Blue Earth Area Buccaneers will host the Fairmont Area Cardinals at Wilson Field in Blue Earth. To help increase community and family engagement per our new Strategic Roadmap, we’ve planned a few exciting events for you! Beginning at 5 pm, join us at Wilson Field for a Walking Taco Supper for $5. All proceeds go to the Maroon and Gold Gala to help support the BEA Foundation. At 5:30 pm, come and register your child(ren) for the Bucc-y  fun run around the track while the football players warm up! The Bucc-y Fun Run will commence at 6:15 pm. Sign up is $5 per child, and again all proceeds go to the BEA Foundation which helps fund items for BEA students!

During the game, be on the lookout for our BEA Cheerleaders to toss out footballs, some of which have free concession stand items taped to them! At halftime, join the BEA Cheerleaders in a dance-off as we look to shake our moves on the track to popular theme songs (YMCA anyone?) Winners of the dance-off will receive a Buc Pride Swag Bag with all kinds of goodies inside!

Can’t make the game but want to show your BEA Buc Pride in support? No problem! Take a selfie in your Buc gear and post to social media with the hashtag: #BEAFamily where participants will be entered into a drawing for their own Buc Pride Swag Bag!

While we are definitely cheering on the BEA Bucs that night, we know that Fairmont has put out some pretty top notch graduates, including the following Fairmont alumni/BEA staffers:

- Brenda Smith, 1983 FHS Graduate and 33rd year teaching at BEA

- Rob Norman, 1984 FHS Graduate and 31 years with BEA

- Donna Nawrocki, 1987 FHS Graduate and 18th year teaching at BEA

- Michelle Ehlers, 1999 FHS Graduate and 18th year teaching at BEA

- Kristie Rolling, 1994 FHS Graduate and inaugural year at BEA

And of course, bring your best cheer voice as we support our hardworking student athletes, talented Pep Band, and enjoy the school camaraderie as our BEA Bucs host the Fairmont Area Cardinals at 7 pm on Wednesday, October 20th @ Wilson Field in Blue Earth. See you there!
