Title 1 Coordinator/Reading Coach

My name is Sheri Schneider and I am excited to be a part of the Blue Earth Area School District.  I graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education with endorsements in Kindergarten and Preschool Special Education from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.  I began my teaching career in South Dakota where I taught in several school districts including: Avon Elementary School, Sioux Valley School, Hamlin Schools and Garfield Elementary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

After moving to Minnesota, I was employed by the Southern Plains Education Cooperative and worked at the Day Treatment Facility in Winnebago and the Pathways program in Fairmont. I was employed by the Blue Earth District in 2014 and am currently the Coordinator of the Title 1 program and also serving as the Reading Coach in the elementary building.

I am married to Richard Schneider and have three children.  Our son Phillip is married to his beautiful wife Caylin and they have a daughter named Joelle. They are currently living in El Paso, Texas where he is fulfilling his Orthopedic Surgeon Residency on the Army base.  Our daughter Danielle is also in medical school in Vermillion, South Dakota and is married to her husband Scott.  Our youngest daughter, Melanie graduated from Blue Earth High School and is currently attending the University of South Dakota in Vermillion where she is working on a Elementary/Special Education major.

I enjoy going for walks, taking pictures, cooking, scrapbooking, embroidering and sewing.  I also enjoy traveling to Indiana to watch Notre Dame football and attending BUC activities!
