To celebrate National Breakfast Week, March. 4-8, we would like to highlight the importance of starting your day with a delicious breakfast and the services that we provide to make this possible. Research has shown students who consume a healthy breakfast every morning perform much better in the classroom. It is very important to everyone on the food service team that we are able to provide this nourishment to all of our students here at BEAS!

As always, we offer both savory and sweet breakfast options before classes begin at both school locations. The elementary school offers both a grab and go option (which can leave the cafeteria) and a hot option that can be eaten in the cafeteria. The high school offers hot options to be eaten in the cafeteria and also offers a second chance breakfast in between first and second period. Second chance breakfast began being offered at the beginning of 2019. It started out a little slow but has quickly become popular among the students. We are now serving more than 90 breakfasts on a daily basis during the second chance period! In order to provide more variety, we are starting to offer a warm option on select days during second chance breakfast.

It is important to us that we offer both a high quality breakfast and friendly service to as many students as possible. In order to reach as many students as possible, I would like to remind both the students and their parents that the free and reduced program has the same benefits for breakfast as it does for lunch. All kindergarteners eat breakfast for free. Please join us for breakfast to start your day out right!
