History of the Organization

The Blue Earth Area School Foundation, established in the Spring of 1998, is a nonprofit organization working to enhance the educational opportunities of the students of Independent School District #2860. Life-long learning is a prerequisite for success in a rapidly changing society. In the Blue Earth area, we now have a unique opportunity through the Foundation to contribute to the development of innovative programs, fund special equipment and library needs, and otherwise promote projects and programs to enhance learning opportunities for children.

Purpose of the Foundation

EDUCATION is the number one economic development tool for any community. If a strong educational system is in place, which we have, the entire surrounding community will benefit. This District has creative employees with innovative ideas to improve the learning experiences of students. For this District to move forward, consistent with its reputation, additional sources of revenue will be required.

The Blue Earth Area School Foundation has been established to provide an income source for the development of innovative programs, fund special equipment and library needs, and otherwise promote projects and programs to enhance learning opportunities for children.

Goal of the Foundation

The primary focus of this foundation to provide funding for creative and innovative programs/activities that supplement and enhance the educational process. Resource materials that support innovative programing and activities will also be considered for funding. Additional opportunities to enhance education of students in the Blue Earth Area Schools will be considered for funding.

Ways to give

There are several ways you can give to the Blue Earth Area Schools Foundation.

A gift of cash gives the Foundation the greatest flexibility. They may be made on an annual basis or as a one time gift.
